Kronleins, Original Crocodile Lager (Sweden)
This light-coloured and light-bodied lager has a definite fruity note on the nose, with a gentle hoppiness. On the palate it is a touch bland, with some dry, lightly-fruity flavours, but it maybe lacks a bit of bite (no pun intended) and could do with a little more edge to it. 5.2% ABV, 33cl, ?27.99 X 24, Surf4beer.
Kronleins, Three Hearts Stockholm (Sweden)
This very strong lager is brewed by Kronleins in Sweden using Magnum and Perle hops. It pours a golden yellow with a moderate white head, and a steady stream of bubbles rises Champagne-like from the centre of a stemmed glass. The nose is appealing, with a suggestion of richness and sweetness to come, toffee, but also some oily hop character. On the palate it is full and thick, with a certain honeyed sweetness, but some nicely bitter hop notes immediately adding some balance. It is flavoursome and weighty, teetering between alcoholic sweetness and that sharpening hop quality, in a well-made and interesting strong beer. 7.2% ABV, 33cl, ?1.69, Beersofeurope, .
