Hite Brewery, Hite Beer (Korea)
Now part-owned by Carlsberg, Hite is Korea's biggest brewer. This beer is brewed with Canadian barley, Aroma and Yakima hops with water from an underground spring. It has a light straw-gold colour and white head. The nose is distinctly biscuity and malted, with notes of yellow sweetcorn. On the palate it is a little underflavoured, with a crisp fruitiness and little bit of hoppy grip, and that underlying malt sweetness. It's not far removed from the more bland US lagers, but has a little more flavour and quality. 4.5% ABV, 33cl, ?0.99, Peckhams, , Pitfield Beer Shop, Beerritz.
